As a Head Teacher and SEND parent, my journey in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities has given me a well-rounded view of the education landscape and a healthy reality check. From steering schools as a leader to championing the needs of my own children, I've gained insights into making education inclusive, supportive and nurturing. 

Navigating both sides of the education spectrum, I've seen first hand the challenges faced by schools, parents and neurodivergent young people. I understand how relationships can break down between families and school leaders, and I know the stresses faced by both sides. I bring a mix of professional expertise and personal commitment to improving the educational experience for all.

I can help with the following:

• training for staff at all levels on autism and ADHD

• training on PDA

• training on making your school a more inclusive learning environment

• training on meeting the needs of all children during unstructured times of the day.

• observing a young person in their setting and advising on next steps including feedback to teachers and leaders 

• training around what to do when a child can't attend: what can be done?

• training on the legalities around SEND- what are your obligations, what are the Local Authority's?

• training for parents on Autism and ADHD

• giving an objective view on a SEND situation in your setting so that you can move forward.

• training around restorative practice and behaviour management

I can run whole staff training events, workshops for parents, or bespoke packages for leadership teams.
